10 Fun Things I’ve Found Online

Here are 10 fun things I found online in November of 2023.

Movies

Rolling Stone‘s nostalgic oral history of the movie The Fugitive, starring Harrison Ford and Tommy Lee Jones.

With the new release of The Boy and the Heron, we’ve been getting our Ghibli on lately, and who hasn’t fallen absolutely in love with their landscapes and locations? Here is a list of locations from Miyazaki movies that you can visit in real life.

Fashion

If you’re already planning next year’s Halloween costume and need the perfect pair of shoes or boots resembling something worn in various eras including Renaissance and Baroque, 18th century, Regency, Victorian or Edwardian, you’ll want to check out American Duchess. You can also find accessories here, such as inserts, buckles, or stockings. They make shoes for both men and women.

In dresses, I’m kind of loving this darling Naia Nap Dress in Victorian Red Cotton, Cherry Stripe, or Lipstick Pink Cotton from Hill House Home that Facebook keeps telling me to buy.

Books

I’ve never been a huge fan of rom-coms or romance novels in general, but there are a select few that I love, and one of those is wholeheartedly You’ve Got Mail! So maybe this list of 11 Books to Read if You’ve Got Mail is Your Favorite Rom-Com will help unite me with some romance novels I’d actually enjoy.

Food & Beverage

If you’ve ever had the urge to make anything you eat or drink sparkle like gold, this edible glitter might be exactly what you’re searching for.

As the weather gets (slightly) cooler in Florida and opportunities actually open up to order chocolate without it melting en route, here is a mouth-wateringly delicious brand that I am ready to eat again.

If you like wine, but have no idea what any of the descriptors mean, this is a good introduction to the concept of body.

Music

If you’ve ever watched Smallville (the WB’s superhero show that started them all), you’ll know that some of the most dramatic moments with its glamorous villains were set to soaring opera music. If you know nothing at all about opera but were moved by these scenes and want to venture into it, Lionel Luthor’s playlist is for you.

Aesthetics

Even though it’s in large part inspired by a series I can’t stand, and also by another I will probably love but have yet to consume, 2000s Autumn is right up my alley.
