Throwback to that time this Badgley Mischka “Belle of the Ball” gown and I did a Renaissance-style portrait sitting in Miami with Bradford Portraits.
Bradford Rowley is an uber professional, expert photographer, finding and snapping the perfect shot within seconds and swiftly moving on to the next. He offers his clients the opportunity to look like royalty inside their own living rooms. His work immediately appealed to my love for classical interior design.
Bradford’s website is very helpful in deciding what to wear for your portrait. I knew I needed to select something timeless and elegant that I wouldn’t mind seeing myself in forever. This shapely, black, off-shoulder gown just spoke to me.
The website also contains many excellent reviews from individuals such as the owner of Brooks Brothers, an Academy Award-nominated director, and a former Mrs. America, among others.
The studio itself was gorgeous, with walls filled with other clients’ beautiful portraits. The customer service was also top-notch, both from Bradford and his staff.
Bradford set us up within walking distance of the studio in the Mandarin Oriental, which offered amazing views of Biscayne Bay and the city from our balcony. I couldn’t have asked for a better stay for my first time in Miami.
My hair stylist and makeup artist for this shoot was Brooke Alexis, who is moving to New Zealand! Bon voyage, Brooke!
Obligatory hotel mirror selfie so you can see the whole dress.
