Wrote this one day when our dog was trying to sleep and looking so adorable that I simply couldn’t resist singing to her, to the tune of “Music of the Night”.
Faith’s Lullaby
Faithy, honey, pretty little puppy,
Soft and fuzzy, you are very lovely.
Let the dreams begin, let no traumas stir within,
May your slumbers all be peaceful day and night,
As we protect you from all bark and bite.
Snuggle close to your squirrel and your raccoon, my dear.
When you wake, you will find so many more
Welcome smells on the table to explore!
And you’ll sniff as you’ve never sniffed before.
Splashing, walking, in your precious beach time;
Drinking water, savoring your cage time.
How you love to eat a delicious bacon treat,
But you flee from every ball we throw your way.
Sometimes I wish that you knew how to play.
