I have been wanting a new leather jacket for years. With Black Friday quickly approaching, I searched Reddit for their best recommendations for where to find quality ones for women these days. Below I’ll share the most common ones I saw, along with my personal favorite styles from each (and 2025’s Black Friday deal prices where applicable).

A few people suggested looking at men’s styles for women, as well, due to quality and pocket size. Some mentioned having trouble with sleeves always being too short; one commenter mentioned sleeves being longer was another plus in buying men’s jackets!
Several suggested going secondhand instead of buying new.
There was a great suggestion from one user to hold a twice-annual leather care day where you clean and condition all your leather goods to keep them supple. Use saddle soap for cleaning (particularly black saddle soap for black leather) and then rub in tons of leather conditioners. (For shoes: clean, polish, condition, and then spray with weather protectant.)

The company that made the official Indiana Jones jackets for Harrison Ford is not, as you might expect, a cosplay company. It’s an actual leather company that became famous for Indy and still recreates his various jackets to this day. And they have a custom ladies’ version.
