Boyfriend and I were watching Jurassic Park: The Lost World. “I’m counting the things in this movie that no longer exist,” he said. “Pontiac, Blockbuster….”
“Dinosaurs,” I said.
He chuckled. “Dinosaurs. Dinosaurs definitely aren’t around anymore.”
As the tyrannosaur rampaged through downtown San Diego, I suddenly gasped and flung my hand holding the remote control at the television to pause. “WHOA! Look at those gas prices! $1.09, $1.27…that’s CRAZY!”
Boyfriend laughed. “Listen to us, we sound like a couple of old people.” In Old Man Voice, he said, “Wahh, the Grand Prix doesn’t exist anymore!”
In Old Woman Voice, I said, “Wahhh, look at those gas prices!”
And then we both laughed and laughed.
